Internet Archive: The End?

So...have you heard about the drama with the Internet Archive? I still don't know a whole lot but when I tried to access it this morning it was temporarily unavailable. A quick Google search has it littered with articles how IA recently lost against the Supreme Court and was forced to remove hundreds of thousands books offline. As if that couldn't get any worse, it appeared to have been hacked.

What does this have to do with Beyond Bizarre?

All of the existing episodes are on there. So if The Internet Archive is no longer accessible that means no more access to Beyond Bizarre. That is, if you haven't downloaded any of it. 

I recently received an email from a very kind person who linked me to episodes they recorded! Skimming through it, it looks like there was actually at least a handful of lost episodes on there. Can't confirm it just yet due to my hectic and busy life unfortunately. I did have a scare when I finally did have time to dedicate to this is RIGHT WHEN IT WENT OFFLINE. I was definitely planning on making a new post about it but I am just one person and I just have so much going on in my life to truly dedicate time to this blog as much as I should. I'm sorry for that.

However, I had a gut feeling to check any updates if it got back online and holy moly IT IS. Not sure how long this will last but not taking any chances. Currently downloading all of these potential lost episodes and then likely copying to at least a few different backup copies just in case.

That's where I am at right now.

These episodes recently got uploaded to Internet Archive a little under a year ago. Here are the links! Always best to download them for yourself just in case these links for go for some reason. A YouTube channel used to have a playlist but said channel got terminated 😭 I backed mine up already. Segment: Snake Handlers

Welcome to my very first write up for my Beyond Bizarre blog. Let's start at the 'ol genesis: snake handlers. This is the 1st segment of the 1st episode of Beyond Bizarre. If you are new here (I am too!) greetings. My plan for this blog is to keep the coolness of this show alive, albeit this show may be outdated as hell but it is for sure a lost gem I rarely see anyone talk about. Footage is pretty scarce as well. I plan to post transcripts, tv clips (when available) and other anecdotes for what was featured on the show. Thus, being my first post of this.
